About Us

Stephany:

img_0858Hello my name is Stephany and I am a Junior in college. I love to eat and write so I decided to co-author a blog with my fellow classmates. I am a communication major and plan to conquer the world one blog post at a time. I am a Honduran immigrant living in the United States and do not plan on leaving anytime soon. As an immigrant I hope to contribute with my own unique point of view on the subject matter and hope to learn from my fellow co-authors as well.

Carole:

_mg_0267Hello, good people! I’m a third year student majoring in Communication Studies at the University of Maryland. There’s a lot of things I love and I cannot say writing is one of them. Hoping to develop a love–or at least a liking for writing with this blog my classmates and I created. As an immigrant, who moved to the United States 7 years ago. Although it was a smooth transition for me, I cannot say the same for everyone and I hope to shed some light on some struggles most immigrants go through.

Joann:

dsc0281.jpgHello everyone! My name is Joann and I am currently a junior at the University of Maryland. I am a proud daughter to Puerto Rican and Salvadorian parents. One of my favorite pastimes is reading. There’s nothing better than picking up a book and getting yourself lost in its world. The topic of immigration is very important to me because some of the people that I know and love are affected by this serious issue. It is only right that I stand by them and support them during these tough and challenging times.

Megan:

Hey tmehere! My name is Megan and I am a Junior at The University Of Maryland College Park at the Shady Grove campus. I am a communications major and look forward to using this blog as a learning experience for the future. I am The youngest of 3 and live with my parents and my oldest sister in a small town in Brunswick, Maryland. I have lived in this house with my family for my entire live and look forward to educating myself and others about immigration and the experience of these people who have lived a live far different from mine.

Keyddi:

blog1Hi! I’m a junior at the University of Maryland. I was born in Peru and moved to the United States with my whole family at the age of 7. Because I am an immigrant to this country, I sympathize with all the immigrants who have been treated unfairly. With this blog, I hope we can bring you different points of views on this issue, since we all have our own unique reasons on why this is important to us.
